The contents of each box have been carefully thought out and tailored to the needs of a grieving mommy and daddy. It is our hope and prayer that these items will bring a little comfort to the recipients at a time when nothing feels comfortable.
A Little Stuffed Bear: When we left the hospital with empty arms, the emotional pain was tremendous but the physical ache of empty arms was even greater. No mom should leave with her arms completely empty. It is our mission to fill these aching arms.
A Teeny Tiny Stuffed Bear: As requested by the hospital, we have started to include mini bears for the smallest babies. These bears are included for the baby and as a momento for the parents to remember how tiny their micro preemie was.
A Little Set of Blankies: To wrap the baby. One to keep and one to go with the baby. At this time, Grandma Bryson {Ryan’s Mom} is making all of these as her gift to Isaac. There may come a time when we need others to stitch blankets for us.
A Little Chocolate: This is Pam’s contribution — because sometimes chocolate just makes you feel better!
A Little Infant Loss Awareness Pin: While not a pin that any family ever strives to wear, it is a great comfort to know there are others who support infant loss.
A Little Tissue: There are never enough tissues.
A Little Lotion: So her hands are never dry.
A Little Chapstick: A sweet friend lost her baby just a few short months after Isaac died. Something she had us bring to the hospital was chapstick. She suggested we include this in the box. Another simple comfort.
A Little Boutique Soap: We have, in the past, received donations for soap from small businesses. We do not currently have a partnership. If you know of a company that would like to work with us and possibly donate, send us a message to connect.
A Little Journal & Pen: While in the hospital and still now, our family blog was an outlet to share our story and feelings. Writing was a needed release.
A Little Book: The book “Still” by Stephanie Paige Cole was a simple comfort during a very lonely time. This short sweet book offered hope for the days ahead and a little peace in the thick of the storm.
A Little Daddy Pack: Just for Dad, who is often silently crying — a special contribution from Ryan. (We are still working on this and will soon have them in each box.)
Extra Materials: We will include some informational brochures and pamphlets from organizations that were helps and comforts to us in the days, weeks, and months following our loss.
